City of Kearney, MO


The City of Kearney promotes and encourages solar energy. A few active solar energy facilities are even in operation. The Board of Aldermen approved standards for solar energy facilities as part of Ordinance #1300-2016.

The City is currently participating in SolSmart, a nationwide, U.S. Department of Energy program that recognizes local governments for taking steps to be more solar friendly. Statement of Participation Statement

Platte Clay Electric Solartech Program
