In 2009, the City of Kearney was granted approval of an Enhanced Enterprise Zone by the Missouri Department of Economic Development. Click here for information about the benefits available in the Kearney Enhanced Enterprise Zone. 

The Enhanced Enterprise Zone (EEZ) incentive program encourages business development and job creation by granting property tax abatement to targeted business enterprises that locate or expand within the designated EEZ boundary and meet the criteria related to job creation and capital investment.  The boundary was established in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
