The Enhanced Enterprise Zone (EEZ) incentive program encourages business development and job creation by granting property tax abatement to targeted business enterprises that locate or expand within the designated EEZ boundary and meet the criteria related to job creation and capital investment.  The boundary was established in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Economic Development. 

The EEZ  Board consists of seven members that review applications for property tax abatement and is a recommending body to the Board of Aldermen. The EEZ Board meets annually, per state statute, and as necessary when a business is locating in and EEZ and applies for EEZ incentives.
